Extract the patcher, put the patch in said folder, run the patcher and select touched/fixed iso, select both iso and patch and aplly the patch. Also the game save folder is named as the psp counterpart ULJM05800. |

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER This game runs like an absolute dream (After spending hours fiddling to get it to work (This thread helped loads)) I got off about 6 hours of solid, non-interrupted gameplay and i couldn't find 1 flaw. I am running PPSSPP git v0.8.1-481-gf2e7388 and i've wazzed my specs into my sig. I have the game running on max settings with Texture Scaling on 2x Hybrid (For some reason any higher causes a slight second-or-so lag spike everytime a new window is opened, (For example, a store/farm collections/player box/quest list etc.) but at a lower scaling this is now non-existent. I am also running the game in fullscreen mode at 1920x1080 resolution and have enclosed a few screenshots.. MHP3rd HD also seems to be more translated than that of my psp version, but i could simply be using an old patch on my psp. it was some time ago that i got the psp patch, and very recently when i got the ps3 one. Awesome job with the emulator, i love it, it's making me start to play all of my old dusty psp games . now that i can play the majority of 'em on my pc it's pretty damn sweet ! (And considering that, as of yesterday, my ps3 fucked up and is no longer reading discs this is a damn fine alternative!) On a side note, in my PPSSPP folder, under User/Logs/ i have a file called 'PPSSPP.log' and it's just over 3GB. which is rather space consuming, i'm thinking I accidently done something in the setup somewhere. or not? is it ok to delete the file or will it mess things up? i'm assuming not as it's just a log file, but, you know, ghost in the machine and all. RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER Yes its Okay to delete that folder Logs & you will not get any more logs being produced. Unless you wish to do debugging, then run Log.bat found in same folder as PPSSPPWindows.exe, that will create that Logs folder again, & start up PPSSPP as normal. |

I have a problem After character's creation the emulator make this: Are you trying to run monster hunter portable 3rd or 3rdHD (PS3 remaster)? As for now PPSSPP can run only the latter due to a function not implemented yet. That black screen could be caused by the intro/ending movies, you can skip that by pressing select. If you are experiencing the issue ingame then it would be wise to tell us the specs of your pc. |

Monster Hunter 3rd Psp Iso

[split] Monster Hunter Portable 3rd I have got the HD version running (this one doesn't suffer from black screen due to lacking an encryption thingy that the psp version has); Running everything kicked up (Render resolution x10, framebuffer to GPU memory, Texture scale x 5, Frameskip 1 (I havent tested frameskipping yet), runs at glorious 100% System: Windows 8.1 (x64) GPU: GTX680 SC (75% is the highest GPU load I could find thus far) CPU: AMD FX-8350 (25% usage at most times, spikes between all cores) PPSSPP V0.9.9 (Apparently takes 8% CPU power, 170MB of RAM in the farm) This should give a rough idea what sort of a computer may be required to run the HD version with all bells and whistles. Best scene for testing the performance (that will make sure the rest of the game runs smoothly) is the farm area, you stand almost right at the entrance - it will give you maximum graphics card usage. Also note: A fully renovated farm will eat 5% more of the GPU power. *Apologies about the cropped image, had to reduce the size to something below 500kb* Edit: I have tested all zones in the game (day, night, events everything) - in most cases the usage is between 30% and 60% (Flooded forest entrance to Zone 1 is a case of 66%, thats about the only notable one). Best settings I've found: Render resolution x10, framebuffer to GPU memory, Texture scale x 5, Frameskip 1 Optimization note: When you first are trying to set it up, make sure texture scaling is at x1 and render resolution at x3, then go up from there (Render resolution IS ALWAYS first). Note: If your texture scaling is too high for your pc to handle, you will experience extreme slowdowns when first entering areas and when in main menu/menus in general. NOTE: DO NOT change upscale type from xBRZ (switching this will make interfaces laggy and some transitions (i.e. entering a zone for the first time) laggy. To be honest, I'm not even sure why I upscaled the textures |

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER @RussChimes does your original eboot.pbp work? http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders!Iso is only needed if you want to apply a translation, dump an eboot.pbp which works on ppsspp first and then if you will really need a translation, google for some programs to repack psp pbp files into iso. Make sure it's not for psx->psp pbp's through, they're not the same and programs for them will probably not give a working iso - it actually might be what happened to you. If you don't need a translation, just keep using original pbp, it has a nice compression and ppsspp runs it without issues. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

Re-patch a clean and unpatched HD version ISO with the PS3 version of the patch instead, and the text should work.
